Information stored in the Trax® database is protected by using secure usernames and passwords to access data, by placing the database behind an advanced firewall, and by using nightly backups and storing the backups offsite.

27. Is there some type of safety net in place if my information is lost?

Yes…see the answer to #26.

APEIS shall restore any data lost from the database, but we cannot guarantee any data that has been lost prior to uploading to the database (i.e. from the handheld).

Both.

30. How is the information recorded/saved/transferred?

The information is collected and saved using a Trax® handheld or through an online web-based system. Handheld data is transferred to the Trax® database via synchronizing or phone line and modem as described earlier.

31. Is it difficult to learn to use the reader, or can it be learned in a short time?

It is not difficult for the average person to become familiar with the reader, because the TraxLink® software running on the handheld is designed with a user-friendly graphical interface.

32. Can I review the information before and after uploading it to the database?

Yes…there are over 20 viewable reports available on the online web interface.

33. Can I use my PC and download the information to my PC and analyze the data on my PC with MS Access or MS Excel?

Yes, all data can be downloaded in a standard format from the centralized database and then analyzed with Excel or other program.
